Common Linen Hire Questions

Can I hire different tablecloth colours?

We currently hold crisp white linen in stock, however if you need a different colour, we can source our quality linen in several colours. We would love to speak with you about your needs, and can provide bespoke quotes for your individual requirements.

Is your linen plain or patterned?

Our linen has a plain weave, perfect for accessorising. If you want a tablecloth or napkin with more detail, we are able to source different designs which may be of interest so please contact us to discuss further.

How long is the hire period?

Our prices are for Monday to Friday, or Thursday to Tuesday hire. If you choose our delivery option, the linen is dispatched from us on either Monday or Thursday, and will be delivered to you the following day.

Collection from you will either be Thursday (for Mon-Fri hire) or Monday (for Thurs-Tues hire) and delivered to us the following day, at which point your hire period will be over. If you need the linen for a longer period or our usual dispatch days don't work for you, please get in touch and we can provide a bespoke quote for you.

When do I need to order?

We ask for orders to be placed a minimum of 12 weeks in advance of your event or date required. If you don't have 12 weeks, or need last minute linen, please contact us anyway. If we can help you, we absolutely will.

What do I need to pay to secure my order?

We ask for a 25% deposit upon placing your order, with the remaning balance due 14 days prior to your order dispatch.

Can I collect my order directly from Platinum Laundry?

Yes - it is free to collect from us! Our address is: 21 Cortry Close, Poole, Dorse, BH12 4BQ.

What happens if I damage or lose a part of my order?

We will do our utmost to remove all stains from the linen returned, however this may not be possible with extremely soiled items. In this instance, we would charge you the RRP to replace the item, which can vary depending on what item it is.

Again, in the rare instance that an item is misplaced, we will charge you the RRP to replace it. It is your responsibility to ensure all items are packaged and delivered back to us.

How do I work out what size tablecloth I need?

Firstly, work out how much drop you would like (for example, 10") and double it (10" x 2 = 20"). Add this to your table dimensions; e.g. If your table is 50" x 88" you will need 70" x 108". If you need any help, simply get in touch.
